As for the ring, well, we call it a 'ring', or a life preserver, which is also a vest. We Americans are crazy like that. In my language (Norwegian) we call that thing what would translate to "life buoy" even if it's a ring! Maybe they used a buoy back in the days before the wheel was invented, haha.
Anyway, thanks for using our stamps on your lovely card! ♥Bibi Lindahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08509052550241496861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054135301302642192.post-58580759165416521142018-01-13T21:25:24.771+00:002018-01-13T21:25:24.771+00:00I think of life guard, not lifesaver, as the perso...I think of life guard, not lifesaver, as the person. Lifesavers can be candy, but of course they're rings, so we know where the name originated, and we do still call them that sometimes here across the pond, I'd say. (Or life ring. Unlike Barbara, I associate life preserver with the vest/jacket you wear while boating in case you fall out of the boat...)
Enough of that! The bleach technique was perfect both for the main image and to add interest to the background. Great card! Love your card, love the sentiment and I thought Life Preserver was the name for it.
