Big Yellow Taxi

Joni Mitchell's version of "Big Yellow Taxi" was a favourite song of mine back in my teens, although it was  to be many years before I managed to visit New York and  see a big yellow taxi in real life, so the words of the song always puzzled me because at the time I was under the impression that ALL taxis were black.

The taxi die in the X-cut Build-a-Scene London set is supposed, of course, to be a London Black Cab but by cutting it in yellow and adding a few stamped skyscrapers and a smudge of grey watercolour, I've taken it to the other side of the Atlantic (and if it was possible to get there so quickly in real life, I'd visit a lot more often!)

    I love this, such a cool idea to use the yellow card. I have this set and was going to use it but wasn't clever enough to go with the yellow card idea. Thanks for the future inspiration! Great to see you join us at ATCAS
