Leaf it to me

What's with all the strange post titles today? Maybe it's the euphoria of having passed 500 posts or maybe it's delight at being home again. I don't know, but I'm feeling frivolous and I promise you I've not been sniffing the wine gums (yet - well it IS Saturday and there's an AndrĂ© Rieu concert on Shy Arts 2 later).

Anyway, the latest challenge at Less is More is a One Layer challenge, with the theme Foliage. I made this card by masking the card to leave a band, colouring it with two shades of green distress ink and then stamping the fern over it in the darker shade of green.

Note to self - don't use distress ink for lettering next time, it makes it look too....... distressed. And now it's finished, I have a sneaky feeling that I made an almost identical card to this one a couple of years ago!

    1. The lighter ink is Crushed Olive and the darker one Forest Moss. I'll email you as you probably won't check back here.

  2. Beautiful card. And even if you did one similar, it was worth doing again. I understand how you feel about distress ink for sentiment stamping, but it doesn't detract from your design. Thank you for sharing the inspiration.

  5. Great panel and I agree about using distress ink on a sentiment! Had to giggle about that since I've done it a couple of times too!
