Autumn butterflies

I think any butterflies out and about today would have very soggy wings! Nevertheless, I've seen a few about in the last few days even though it is October. I think this year's strange weather patterns have confused them as much as me.

These butterflies are die cut with my trusty old friend the Cuttlbug butterfly die, but instead of embossing them in one of the dedicated folders that came with them I used an Embossalicious folder and then used the same one on some cream card to create a background. The small squares are cut with the die that came free with my Cuttlebug, many years ago, and I've only just opened the packet!

All the butterflies were cut from "too nice to part with" scraps from my stash.

  1. So glad you decided to part with your scraps. Your butterfly colours are lovely and I like that you have used the same embossing folder for the back ground. Thankyou for fluttering by. As you have used snippets up you could also enter over at Di's challenge.

  6. Me again :) Oh yes, I know Fleet well, really like it and almost bought a house there when we moved to North Hants. We're a bit further South down the M3, just off the Dummer/Basingstoke exit at J7 - in Hatch Warren :) Didn't it throw it down with rain this afternoon huh :)

Like you, I have so many 'too nice to part with' scraps so Di's challenge gives me the encouragement I need to use some of it up each week.
