The Tale of Tom Kitten

When I saw that the latest CD Sunday challenge was cat themed, I was very pleased - I LOVE cats! However then I realised that I don't have a single CD dedicated to cat images. I'm going to have to look through all the entries to the challenge and put that right!

However, lots of my CDs do have some cat images on them, and for this card I used the Crafters Companion "Tales of Beatrix Potter" CD. Actually I got a bit carried away printing out elements and have enough to make at least 4 cards, but the rest will have to wait a while as I've only been at home for 3 days in the last fortnight and am way, WAY behind with crafting and blogging (and with everything else too!). But I love Beatrix Potter stories, they remind me of childhood holidays in the Lake District, so I'm sure I'll use them all eventually.

I cut a stepper card, using the main layer of the decoupage frame image as a cutting and folding guide which very neatly made the side strips the right width for one of the vertical borders I'd printed, and layered up two horizontal borders to go across the bottom. The background paper is also from the CD, and I finished it off with a set of corners made using an old Cuttlebug die, one of the first I ever bought.
