Texture at Cardz 4 Guyz

It's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz ; this week is my turn to choose the theme, and I have chosen TEXTURE. There are lots of ways to add texture to your crafting - I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

For my own card, I've added texture in two ways. One of them is a sheet of mesh-textured paper from a DCWV paper stack. The other is made using a sheet of Core'dinations paper from a Black Magic stack, which I embossed using a brickwork embossing folder and then sanded away the black surface, leaving just the light brick coloured card showing, with the black that is left behind forming the "mortar"

The topper and background came from Kanban sheets in the great value Male Themed kit from Foil Play  and the greeting from the Steampunk kit, also from Foil Play.

It's quite unusual to think of a masculine card when you think of the idea of shabby chic, but I'm sharing this with Make My Monday where that is this week's topic.

  1. Fab Jane, love the embossed stone work.
Sorry your slow cooker potatoes didn't work, I've never used a slow cooker but my daughter loves hers and even bakes cakes! :)
