Numbered Birthday at Cardz 4 Guyz

It's time for our latest challenge at Cards 4 Guyz and this time we are looking for cards that celebrate a numbered birthday - and that can be any number from 1 to 101 (or even more!)

I decided to be a little bit different and use letters for my number, if you see what I mean, to make the age the main focal point of the card. After all, when you are four, the fact that you are four can be very,  very important! And to go with such an important age? Well, what could be more important than a lion?

I fussy-cut the lion out of a sheet of 12 x 12 scrapbooking card and used another sheet to cut the central band. The thick letter stickers are from my stash and the two patterned papers are from a DCWV stack. For the ogee chevrons, I fussy cut one edge and stuck it to my panel, then I turned the paper around to cut the border for the other side. This made sure the chevrons matched top and bottom; I think it would have looked unbalanced if they hadn't matched up.

To finish it off, I added the word "today" by using individual letters made with a Dymo label machine.
