Shiny, shiny, shiny!

I've been really digging around in the Very Old Stuff this week, and emerged with half a sheet of paper left over from a magazine pull out set, and an unmounted bauble stamp that came in a grab bag many years ago - I think it's a PSX design - and has never seen ink before.

I stamped the bauble, then instead of colouring it in, just coloured the bow with a soft pencil. For the rest of it, I highlighted various areas using a Tonertex pen and gently rubbed different colours of foil over them - the pen and foils are available from Foil Play. I had intended wrapping ribbon around the stamped panel, but then I had a flash of inspiration and used a strip of double sided tape instead, foiling it to match the bauble. "Brads" of metallic Candi appear to hold the panel in place.

It's so hard to catch the glorious shine of the foils in a photo, especially on a gloomy day, but by standing on one leg and leaning over to one side, I  think I managed it in the next photo. Unfortunately I do my photos by the kitchen window, which looks out onto the street, so I did get a few funny looks from passres by.
