Stylised heron

The current challenge at Shopping Our Stash is Silhouettes, which gave me a great opportunity to play with this gorgeous stylised heron silhouette stamp which came from Katzelkraft.

I made a background for it on watercolour paper by scribbling water soluble wax crayons onto an acrylic block and then picking them up with a wet paintbrush to use as watercolour paints. The heron was then stamped in Stazon over the finished background.

I am sharing this with

  1. Beautiful contrast between the soft watercolour and the bold, elegant bird image. I like balance created by the circles on the right too.
