Hooray, hooray, it's Rudolph Day!

Yes, it's January 25th so that means as well as Burns Night (I hope you noticed my poetic tribute in the title) it's also Rudolph Day - the 25th of every month except December is when Scrappymo hosts her Rudolph Day challenge to encourage us to make Christmas cards all through the year.


My image is a very old peel-off sticker of a snow scene. It was originally silver and  I've always thought with all that snow, it was rather insipid, so this time before peeling it off from the backing I covered the whole thing with black Promarker and left it to dry overnight, before sticking it to white card and colouring it with Promarkers (very carefully as the alcohol in the inks can reactivate the black on the sticker) and clear Wink of Stella for the snow.

The background paper is a very old freebie from a club I once belonged to, the sentiment stamp is an Anna griffin one and I've used black peel-off borders and corners.

    What a beautiful card for Rudolph Day! I love that sticker and could hardly believe it was a sticker until I read your post. You did a great job at coloring it! Love the background papers too and the sentiment. Your stitching on this card is so pretty too and I love those photo corner stickers. Hugs, Brenda

    Looks great, Jane. The little scene reminds me of a stamp I have in my NBUS drawer. I hope you have inspired me to use it now!
    Great idea to colour of the sticker edge with the black!

    Terrific work on changing the color scheme of your outline sticker. I thought it looked like a stained glass window. Very pretty card, and I like the way you've colored the interior parts of the sticker. Have done this with Ritz Glitter, but never thought to try using inks as you've done so effectively here.
