Quirky Challenge mid month inspiration

We're half way through this month's challenge at Quirky Challenges, where the theme is Quirky Pets and our sponsor is The Cutting Café. Here's my mid-month inspiration card for you, once again made with an image and frame from the Animal and Bug Love Set.

This time I've chosen the turtle. I used masking tape to create a panel within the frame and sponged it with distress inks, then coloured and die cut the turtle to layer on to it. I added several layers of card to match the colouring, finishing each one in a different way - deckle edge scissors, a plain straight edge and a punched border. Heart shaped gems to match the heart on the turtle's shell are the finishing touch.

I am sharing this with  Digi Choosday - Anything Goes
