Orange butterflies

We're still not seeing many butterflies in the garden this year - last time I mentioned it, some of you said you were seeing a lot and others are having the same experience as us. I suppose the upside of it is that there haven't been many caterpillars eating Mark's plants, though!

To make the butterflies, I brushed water all over a piece of watercolour paper then sprinkled with Brusho crystals - mainly orange, but with a few patches of yellow and red. When dry, I stamped the IndigoBlu butterfly and cut them out leaving a narrow border. They are stuck with 3D glue onto black and orange card, and the sentiment stamped with a magazine freebie stamp.

I am sharing this with

  4. Fabulous card, very striking. Still not seen many butterflies here, think the slugs have been eating everything before the caterpillars get to it!

  9. My mom lives in the Central Valley of California and she has repeatedly told me that the butterfly population is way down this year😕... I'm thinking it's just one of those natural fluctuations. I love your card-- reminds me of a scientific butterfly display! Thanks for sharing at SOS.
