I've been digging about in my old stamps, really looking for things to use for Darnell's NBUS challenge, but I've also dug out a few old friends that haven't seen the light of day for ages. This lovely dragonfly background stamp from Hampton Arts is one of them.
I made the background by scribbling various shades of pink and blue markers onto acrylic blocks and picking up the colour with a waterbrush to paint individual diagonal stripes on the die cut square. When the paint was dry I stamped the dragonflies then edged the whole thing in black. The "hello" sentiment is stamped with a freebie stamp from Making Cards magazine.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great find Jane! The dragonfly stamp looks brilliant against the gorgeous pastel background and the colours you chose to use are so beautiful. The sentiment in the diamond shape is fab and it really balances out the composition. A very beautiful CAS card. Thanks for popping it into our water colour challenge at Less is More xx
