In the bulrushes

One issue I've had with silhouette stamps over the years is that if you don't get a clear impression the first time, you can never sort it out, except perhaps with a black pen and a lot of care. The invention of stamping platforms has changed all that and at last I can get a crisp, clear and fully black image of this lovely Katzelkraft stamp of a heron/stork/crane  taking flight from in a clump of bulrushes.

I stamped it onto glossy card on which I had created a background by sponging on individual colours from a Kaleidacolor Caribbean Sea pad, then cut it out with a stitched oval die and layered it with black and turquoise, finishing the corners with black gems.

I am sharing this with

  2. A beautiful card Jane, a fabulous background and lovely stamp - stamping platforms certainly have taken the risk out of stamping haven't they.
