Three flowers

You'll probably be mystified when I say that this card was inspired by Di's lovely wreath card in this post  but I used her suggestion of positioning a stamp on the Misti then moving the card, rather than the stamp, to get the sprays of leaves evenly positioned around the card. The difference is that in order to make a spray rather than a circle, I had the stamps pointing outwards rather than roundwards. (Is that a word? It should be!).


The stamps are from a Crafters Companion clear set and I die cut the flowers from teal, mustard and orange snippets using the First Edition Layered Flower die, switching around the lacy and solid layers.

    Oh Jane! How lovely to see someone who could 'get' what my rambling explanation of that technique with the Misti was all about. I love this card - wonderful use of the Misti ('natch') and stunning result. Love those bright flowers against the darker foliage.

    The book I've been telling you about is now totally unputdownable! Is that a word? All the pieces are coming together and it's so gripping too.

    Very striking card and love that you used Di's Misti technique to achieve it too. She's so helpful. Now I need to know which book Di's talking about in her comment! Love a book you can't put down!
