Tower of cats

Goodness, I had a lot of fun making this card!

I cut a panel of white card to fit a DL card blank and stamped the tower of cats stamp from AALL & Create in the place where I wanted it to sit on the finished card,  then stamped it again on a separate piece of card. The image on the background was just to show me where the finished image would sit, so that when I added the colour and texture, I wouldn't put anything where it might look odd poking out from behind.

I coloured the panel with distress inks in shades of yellow, orange and aqua then stencilled in some distressed mesh patterns using a light tan ink (actually a very ancient Marvy matchables pad, I used to love those back in the day). Distressed the edges a bit and added more aqua to them, then added spots stencilled using white embossing paste and sponged with more of the aqua.

I coloured scraps of card with orange, yellow and aqua and stamped the sentiment, then cut the words out and edged with more aqua, going over the capital letters with a white gel pen.

Finally I coloured the image, fussy cut it and used 3D adhesive to add it to the card.
