My first ever Penny Slider card

You know how there are things that you keep meaning to try but never quite get around to? Well for me, the penny slider technique has been one of those for years. But today I actually got a Round Tuit (plus a couple of round pennies) and had a shot at one.

For the background of my travel themed card, I used an old map torn out of a road atlas, featuring the Lake District, an area I love. It was too flimsy to support a slider so I matted it with green card. The  classic 60s style mini is stamped with an old Linda Luckin stamp, and I didn't notice until I was assembling the card that it's actually a left hand drive car - now that's going to be a challenge on some of those hairpin bends and 35% gradients, when practically every other car on the road is right hand drive. Oh well, it's all part of the ADVENTURE isn't it?

I am sharing this with

  7. There are several things that point to theme of adventure on your card. The sentiment states it, the map and not to forget the car. Great idea to use the map and I like how you’ve used green and red colored panels, both colors pick up those of the map nicely. Thanks for joining our challenge at Inkspirational!
