A winter walk

Although this isn't a Christmas card, all the stamps except the sentiment came from a Christmas set that came with a recent issue of Creative Stamping magazine.

I made the background by blending distress inks with a mask in place for the sun/moon  then stamped all the silhouettes and sketched in the distant horizons. The post-Christmas period often means we need to send Thank You cards so this winter scene is very suitable for the occasion.

I am sharing this with

  2. Your card is perfect for the library challenge. I have yet to think of something their challenges. I generally end up going and buying the book to read it if I haven’t already!! Card is perfect as a thankyou card. Hugs Mrs A.

  3. Wow Jane! This is a complete showstopper and I NEED those stamps! They look like Cardio...? There's so much movement going on in your scene - the dog leaping about, the children playing and the birds flying overhead. I love that the adults have their hands firmly in their pockets - and I know that feeling well! Your background is gorgeous and wintery and I love how you've sketched in the horizon as well. I could go on and on but I'm sure you'd rather get a novel from the library lol. Vicky x
