Butterflies and embossing

I was really pleased to see that the new challenge at the Butterfly Challenge is Butterfly and E for Embossing because for a few days now I've been in the mood for using this lovely embossing folder that was a magazine cover gift earlier this year, but I couldn't quite decide what I wanted to do with it!

I lifted out a couple of  metal filigree butterfly embellishments that have been in my "so nice I can't bear to use them" box for years, so long I can't remember where they came from, because the filigree would work well with the rich embossing on the upper half of the design, and finished the whole thing off with some silver mirri and peel off borders. A very easy card but rich in texture.

As well as the Butterfly Challenge, I'm going to pop back to Suzy Bee's Blooming Challenge for a second entry into this week's Embossing challenge.

  2. Thus is beautiful Jane. I have this embossing folder and really like it a lot. Your filigree butterflies are lovely and I can see why you've hung on to them for a long time. I like the colour of your card, it's really rich and the peel offs work so well. Barbxx

  4. A fabulous card - I've also got that embossing folder which I like using as it doesn't need much decoration with it!
