Jewel-bright dragonflies

This week is colour challenge week at Less is More, and the colours they have chosen for us is Jewel Colours. Jewel colours always make me think of the Kaleidacolour pad, Birthstone, and the lovely deep metallic dragonfly brads that match the pad so well.

I masked off glossy card to leave a strip and brayered ink from the pad over it. I've had my Kaleidacolour pads at least 15 years now, and probably used them thousands of times, yet they still give such wonderful, vibrant colour!

Then I stamped a floral silhouette border using an Indigo Blu stamp and Stazon ink, and added a scattering of dragonfly brads. I did all this on separate card rather than directly onto the card front, so that when I mounted it on a card blank there would be a little plain "frame" and more importantly, the backs of the brads would be covered.
