Butterflies and bees

The challenge this time at Retro Rubber is a sketch.

For my take on it, I masked off the right hand side of the card to leave just the "diagonal" area.


Then I stamped the butterflies and bees - these are unmounted stamps that I got in grab bags when I first started stamping, so they must be around 20 years old - and sponged light blue ink around them before removing the masking and adding the sentiment. This stamp is a positively youthful three year old Dovecraft one. I'd have liked it to say "bee"cause but that wasn't to "bee".

    An interesting design, Never seen a sketch quite like that one certainly something to get the brain cells works,
    Love the bees and butterflies gives the card a spring like feel.

    Bee-u-tiful card, Jane! Love your coloring and the masked technique to create the outline of the sketch. My favorite detail is the glittery bees wings. Thanks for sharing your cheery card with Retro Rubber. It is always fun to see you in our gallery!!
