......don't worry, it's not going to be like buses where you wait for ages and then three come along all at once!
I made the background using brushos, making a second smaller piece at the same time for diecutting later. I cut the lower layer of the dragonfly from the second piece and covered it with Diamond Stickles, leaving it to dry before cutting the top layer in black and attaching it. The words are also die cuts.

Incidentally Mark says this looks like a cat. I've never thought of brushos as the basis for a Rorschach test before.
This is absolutely stunning! I love the blue color with the black dragonfly/sentiment and the touch of sparkle in the wings is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteHe's right - it does look like a cat! But I love the contrast of the black dragonfly against the lovely blues.
ReplyDeleteYep, Mark isn't the only one, I can see the cat too! The black dragonfly really stands out against the lovely background.
ReplyDeleteTrying hard to catch up with all my blog visiting, after unexpectedly being asked to work four days out of five this week. You HAVE been busy - so many beautiful cards you've posted during the last week or so. xx
I love the background to the dragon fly. A perfect combination. Thankyou for fluttering into the butterfly garden for a second visit. Hugs Mrs A.
