Welcome to February - the shortest month of the year yet often the one that feels longest. How about whiling away those gloomy days by getting ahead with your Christmas card making? Our theme this month at Sparkles Christmas is Poinsettia and we would love to see your take on it.
I created a Distress Ink background for this card then spritzed with gold mica spray and lightly stamped the sentiment at random. Then I added stencilled poinsettias using embossing paste and lightly sponged them with red ink, adding Liquid Pearls for the centres. The poinsettia flower was stamped three times on white card, cut into layers then coloured with distress inks. The foliage is stamped on vellum and heat-embossed with a mottled green embossing powder before fussy cutting.
