Meet Melonie

Yes, Melonie, not Melanie. So called because of her watermelon patterned frock. I don't know what her real name is, she came in a grab bag of unmounted stamps, but she works very well with the melon wedge stamp and tile that were in the same grab bag. I got the bag from Raindrops on Roses in the USA, so long ago that I didn't even have internet and had to order by post. (OMG I must just digress a bit here as I've suddenly realised that some of my stamps must be older than some of the people reading this post!)

Anyway, I stamped and embossed Melonie then coloured her in, then used a selection of snippets for layering. That green stripy paper has been waiting to come in handy for at least 10 years! Even the buttons are the last two from a very old set. I think they were meant to be Christmassy, but they look very melon-y to me. The melon wedges make great "photo corners"
