Recently a very good friend of mine became a grandmother again to a handsome little boy, and I wanted to make a special card for her and her family. I have a Graphic 45 8x8 Precious Memories pad that so far I'd not been able to bring myself to cut into - that first cut is always the hardest, isn't it? Especially with truly beautiful papers! But I thought this was the perfect occasion to use it.
I'd spotted this beautiful card on a blog I'd visited some time ago, and had bookmarked it intending to do a straightforward CASE, but letting the blue papers predominate. However once I started cutting into the papers and realised just how wonderful they are, the design sort of ran away with me and the only features that are recognisably the same are the fact that it's an easel card and the central images on the top and base pages. I had a really lovely time making this card and I hope my friend and her family enjoyed receiving it.
I am sharing this card with Allsorts Challenge - Pearls and Gems.
