This week I got two lovely parcels - an early birthday present of some stitched square and rectangle (at last) and yet more dragonfly dies, and a wonderful parcel of crafting goodies from a very generous Facebook friend, one item of which was this super "Good luck" die. Naturally I had to have a play right away.
I had a good rummage through my snippets box and picked out 10 different scraps of patterned paper (you might recognise some of them as left overs from a card I posted yesterday) and cut them all with a square die then arranged them diagonally over my card and topped with the sentiment and dragonflies, all cut in black.
I am playing along with

What a great way to use snippets. Your design looks fantastic Jane. I'll certainly be using this idea. Barbxx
Saw this over at the Snippet's Playground, Jane, and had to come for a closer look. It's fantastic! I love how the whole background looks 'quilted' and your paper choices are perfect.
Great card, awesome use of bits of paper.

Great card for the snippets challenge and how interesting to see the squares set on the diagonal - clever idea and something a bit different.
Wonderful use of snippets Jane! As Val says, squares on the diagonal are different and a great look as well!
You asked about Oxides and what makes them different:
It's a bit of the reaction as they're a 'mix of water-reactive dye and pigment ink fusion' - according to Ranger who make them. That means they keep their richness whereas the normal Distress inks tend to look quite watery by comparison. Also, they're so smooth - and I believe they stamp sentiments perfectly (not tried that one yet).
Well done on being first into the Playground - bet you were sitting in the shrubbery waiting for Parsnip to unlock the gates! :)

Love this Jane! It is really refreshing to see patterned papers being used in a CAS way and you have really combined some beautiful papers here. The diagonal placement is really eye-catching too. Thanks so much for popping this in at Less is More xx
