I was delighted with the wine bottle and glass die set that came with Die Cutting Essentials this month, so much so that I also bought Simply Cards and Papercraft to get the stamp and die label set that works so well with it in some of the samples they give.
Here is my first make using the sets - I'm sure there will be many more!
The bottle is cut from white card and then coloured with Promarkers and Distress inks following the instructions in the magazine - I'm very pleased with the results. The glass and gold medal are also cut with the die set, and the label for the bottle was stamped using the stamps from the other magazine. I cut a curve in the label to match the way the bottle would curve, but I wish now I hadn't added the red bands to it, they are too straight.
The background is made by dabbing the base of a shot glass lightly with ink and pressing it onto the bard. I wish now that I'd used a cream or grey card so the wineglass would have stood out more. The word "Cheers" is cut out of the intricate grapevine patterned bottle insert die that is part of the set.

Cheers to you, my friend! I love your gorgeous card!
What a great way to say Cheers! I like your "shot glass" technique for the rings in the background. Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Masculine card challenge this week.
Gorgeous card, love your bottle and wine glass design
Hi Jane, what a fun card! Love the way you've created that bottle and coloured it to give it a 3-D effect. Great job shading! Love the process you went through for your creation. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
A super card Jane, great use of the die and stamp set - a brilliant background, such a good idea.
Have a lovely weekend.

Brilliant design, Jane, great use of the magazine freebies. Love how you've made the background, genius idea! xx
Fab card for a wine buff. You could always make the red bands wider and add the curve whilst doing so if they really bug you. Great idea to use the shot glass to stamp with. Hope it had been filled with something nice first!
I LOVE you coloured the dies, this is a WONDERFUL card. Thank you for joining us at The Male Room Challenge. Faith DT
