Arsenic and Old Lace

Here I am with another idea for the Not paper, Not card challenge at Let's Squash It.

This time I've embossed acetate using a smocking effect folder which I won in a fellow blogger's candy giveaway a few years ago. After embossing it, I gave it an antiqued look by drizzling a burnt orange alcohol ink into the grooves at the back and lightly wiping it away. For some reason, the result made me think of the film "Arsenic and Old Lace" which is odd because it must be getting on for 60 years since I saw the film and when I did it was in black and white. However once I had the idea in my head, I couldn't let it go, so I had to team it with papers from the Graphic 45 "Master Detective" collection and, of course, a scrap of old lace. I used spray adhesive to attach the acetate to the background paper.

I am sharing this with
