Feeling Distressed

Right, the reason this card came about is because the theme for Addicted to CAS this time is Distress. And boy oh boy, has that juxtaposition of CAS and Distress caused me some distress! My waste paper basket was gradually filling up with scrunched up failures. Stamping, embossing, layering.... nothing was working for me. Everything was more chaotic mess than elegant distress.

After several scrunches, I thought, "Hang on, perhaps I could use that scrunching to good effect"  - and there and then, the little square of distressed newsprint in the middle of the card was born. And I dried my tears, die cut and embossed a butterfly, added a few pearls and was happy once more!

I'm sharing this with
Addicted to CAS - Distress
Clear it out challenge - Anything Goes - those pearls have been hanging around, the last few on a sheet, for years!
Pixie's Snippets Playground week 166 - the newsprint and the cream card for the butterfly were snippets from the reject pile that was filling up my waste basket!

Glad your creativity bordering on distress produced such a clever design

Glad that out of your distress and tears came this fabulous card, though cardmaking is supposed to be relaxing, is it not? :) The scrunched up newsprint is inspired and the butterfly is gorgeous. Elizabeth xx

Great card there. Now it would be very funny to look out some of those weird adverts.....eg sheep dog for sale for a farmer friend. Tee hee!
