Now when I think of masculine cards, I think about what my husband would like. Cards for men tend to have very blokey themes - football, cars, motorbikes, beer, fishing, rock music, gadgets ...... none of the things that interest my husband. He likes the countryside, the coast, good food and wine and his vegetable garden. So I decided a landscape was far more appropriate.
I made a background with chalks, stamped the V of flying geese over it, then made the hills and water by tearing Core-dinations cardstock and framing it with a die cut frame. Unfortunately the goose stamp wasn't cleanly cut and the edge of it made a mark that I couldn't hide
So I had to start again, and this time I made a circular frame which I think works better.

Isn't it irritating when you spot a mark that you can't camouflage!

These are wonderful - I didn't notice the mark at first but when you know it's there it irritates the life out of you! I, too, would have had to make it again. Maybe you could use a black fineliner and turn it into another bird?

My goodness, this is gorgeous! The torn paper is so perfectly done. The sponging so subtle and effective. Just wonderful.
Hi, I saw this card in the Less Is More challenge. Great card, I think I like the square frame better. I never noticed the little ink mark until you pointed it out. I think we can be too hard on ourselves. I don't really like the traditional tropes for masculine cards either -- cars and sports and brown cardstock and plaid. Bleh. Masculine cards are a challenge.
