I'm crafting again!

After a break, caused by my absence and by Christmas getting in the way, I'm crafting again! The decorations have been put away and I have room to start playing once more.

Santa was very kind to me and brought me a Grand Calibur so the first thing I wanted to do was play with it. It's lovely to be able to use bigger dies and cut several at once, but it will take me a while to get used to the different sandwich recipes as I've been using a Cuttlebug for years. Anyway, I thought I'd ease myself back into  crafting with a simple card made entirely from die cuts.

Look at the board my card is standing on - can you see the name of the blog along the side of it? That was a Christmas present from my daughter. Isn't it wonderful?

Hopefully the simple start to the year will have helped to reawaken my crafting mojo. I'm playing along with

It's a Cuttlebug one, quite old from when they were made by Provocraft. It was part of a cutting and embossing set - the embossing folder is a stylised flower, something like an allium, and the cutting die has several greetings on it like "Hello friend" "Kindred spirit" and "Friends forever". It's one of my most-used bits of kit!
