I used the "Embossed Impressions" technique which is this week's challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown - I'm pleased to be able to use this die as it never releases the die cuts properly yet is too lovely a snowflake to throw away. I used a blue tinsel powder for the embossing - despite using an anti static bag, the Versamark on the die meant that it didn't just stick to the embossed lines, however as it's all still enclosed within the embossed area I think it gives it a naturally frosty look. The matting is blue mirri and I've added a stamped sentiment and a few pearls.

Oh WOW, I saw this technique and am now stalking to postie as I ordered an embossing mat so I could try it out. Love your card its so pretty and sparkly, Hazel xx
I love this technique and hope to try it when I locate the rubber mat. The snowflake is pretty and shame it doesn't cut well, have you tried a used dryer sheet between the die and the cardstock, (works for me) On to your card the design is very nice I love the added blue pearls to the sides of the sentiment.

I'm so glad you found a way to use this die as it is lovely. I have a few that are impossible to get the card out of too, I'll have to try this! The blue sparkle looks so pretty, I ended up brushing a lot of powder off my cards too, but I agree that here it is a bonus. Thanks for playing along at 52CCT this week.

Glad you didn't chuck that die in the trash because the way you used it on this card is gorgeous! Have you tried putting wax paper between the die and paper you want to cut? That may help. Thanks for joining in at Shopping Our Stash!
