Going round in circles

This month's Twofer challenge is circles or bubbles. I've chosen this circular "starburst" stamp from The Gentleman Crafter's stamp set to do my twofing with this time.

One very summery card, one Christmas card. Fist  the summery one:

I stamped the starburst three times in different shades of pink as the flowers, then used a stylised dandelion clock head stamp from Uniko for the centres. I ruled in stalks and added leaves and a sentiment from the same Uniko set. The background is the starburst again stamped in Versamark ink on pink card to give a watermark effect.

By complete contrast, my second card is a Christmas card. I used a magazine freebie set to stamp the stable scene and sentiment, then masked it off and stamped and heat embossed the starburst in gold above the stable.

I am, of course sharing this twosome at Twofers Card Challenge

also I an sharing the Nativity scene at

Very creative Twofer cards! The starburst worked so well over the manger! Great ideas and well-executed!

I like both of these cards Jane. Inspired me - I will think about giving Twofers a go.

Whenever I think of circles, I think of, well, circles. You've gone wonderfully outside the box and used this fun starburst as your starting point! Such a clever idea. Those flowers really turned out fabulously, and the colors are so happy and summery. I love the use of this stamp over the stable as starlight, too. I don't think I would have ever thought to do that in a million years. Thanks for the inspiration, and thank you for joining us at The Twofer Challenge! Bev

How clever of you to use the dandelion (starburst) flower stamp as your circle, Jane! I love this sketchy stamp! But I won't start drooling because I already have eleventeen dandelion stamps. I love the little puffballs that sail off on the wind when you blow them. Your design is so pretty in shades of pink and coral, with a perfect sediment! As for your Christmas design, it's beautiful and I love the elegant matting! Why have I never thought of a starburst or a firework behind the stable, instead of a north star? I mean, I know it's traditional, but when you think of all trouble the young couple went through, I think your exploding starburst is much more fitting!! Keep well and thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #28! Hugs, Darnell
