Well, there's not much sunshine here today. Unlike the hot sunny weather we had last week, Midsummer's Day has dawned cold, wet and windy. But never mind, here's some sunshine in stamped form.
Blimey, for a CAS card this was a lot of trouble! My first attempt went totally awry, with both the sun and sentiment badly positioned and a large ink blob appearing out of nowhere. My second attempt used Promarkers instead of watercolours, and the edges of the blue area were too crisply defined for the look I wanted. Finally I got the positioning right and went back to watercolour, drawing the edges of the blue out on the right with an almost-dry brush to give a windswept look.

Now the second card.
This time I stamped the sun onto hot sunshine colours of card and die cut them. Three squares is a classic layout for a slimline card, especially with a nice l-o-n-g sentiment to underline them.

First of all, that's the best happy sun face I've ever seen, Jane! The chubbiness is perfect, but it's the eyes and how the artist captured a twinkle to match the smile! She looks amazing bringing bright yellow sunshine to someone, set against the third-time's-a-charm blue windswept sky, as well as posing in her sunsetiest bright colors on your triple joy birthday card! Thank you for playing in TCC #39! Hugs, Darnell
What a really happy sun face! Two great cards Jane. Thank you for joining us at Perfectly Cas.
What a pretty slimline card design! I love how you stamped the sun image on three hot sunshine colours squares. Thanks so much for joining us at Just Us Girls.
Two happy sunshiney cards there Jane, just what we need this miserable week weatherwise. Thank you for joining us at Less is More.
These are well thought out CAS designs. Love your slimline card, using the same sun stamped on different colored papers. So simple, and so effective. Thanks for sharing your work with us over at Inkspirational.
