Distress it at Sparkles Christmas

It's the first of the month, and that means not only a pinch and a punch, but time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas. Christmas is getting closer and closer, and if you've not made a start on your cards yet, you might be feeling distressed..... which is a rather corny way of leading up to the fact that our new theme is DISTRESS IT!

We have two sponsors this month:

Fantastic Ribbons are giving a prize of £10 to spend with them plus free p&p

Marianne Dies are giving a surprise prize

Here's my DT card, made using kraft card with snippets of deep berry red Core-dinations and a Christmassy text paper from Anna Griffin.

I die cut the snowflakes and added a little distress ink to the tips of the flakes, and stamped the sentiment using the text paper as a background. I inked the edges of the sentiment and kraft layers, then ran a distressing tool along all the straight edges. The central circle is cut using a Spellbinders scalloped circle die then embossed with a snowflake folder and sanded. Tiny buttons complete the snowflakes.

I'm sharing  this with Ooh La la Creations - Let's Get Krafty
